In short, Everyone. Ok. That’s it. Post over. 🙂 Just kidding. Let me give you a few more details by telling you what brain training does in your body.
When someone starts training their brains, they may find changes that happen to other people and some unique to them. When I had my first session, I was dealing with an autistic child who would have meltdowns 4-5 times per day. I would stay calm – someone had to be the adult in the room – but I never felt calm. When I had my first brain training session, I noticed that I felt calm the next time my son had a meltdown, I wasn’t just making myself act that way.
For my son, when he started brain training, he also started showing calm very quickly. He had moments where he stopped himself from hitting, for instance. We started noticing in the first few weeks that the meltdowns happened less frequently. But the big change for him was that his normal body functions started to improve. We saw him starting to grow, where he had been extremely small for his size up to that point. When we started brain training with Neuroptimal® Neurofeedback, he had just turned 8 years old and was 48lbs and wore a size 4/6. Flash forward, he started growing and three years later he is wearing a 12/14 and weighs 108, he is 4’8.5″ tall and wears mens size 6.5 shoes. As you can see, his brain said – “Hey we are barely surviving here. Let’s get this body working and we’ll worry about executive functioning and emotional control later.”
So, what can you expect? There are 100 identified changes that have been identified that are common amongst people who are training their brains with NeurOptimal®. You might experience changes in any or all of these areas or some not listed.
